Our events are in-person evenings in cities for solo founders, and for professionals about to become one. Our event host role is for a natural people person who brings the energy, keeps the evening moving and stays calm when something goes wrong.
This Uncommon Life helps experienced professionals turn what they already know into a profitable one-person business. Founders work with us through Plan A, our 8-week launch program with 1:1 coaching, and Uncommon Mentorship, ongoing 1:1 mentoring once their business is running. We also run The Shortlist, a free monthly live training, and in-person events for solo founders.
Each event is an interactive evening with guest speakers who run solo businesses, and the audience takes part. Attendees talk to the speakers and to each other, so each guest leaves having met founders worth knowing.
We set the format and the speakers; you make the evening work in the room.
You earn $150 for each event you host, plus $5 for every paid ticket after the first 20. An event takes about 4 hours on the night, including set-up and pack-down.
While you are an active host, you also get free entry to all our events, in your city and anywhere else we hold them.
Events are assigned one at a time, and how often we hold them depends on demand in your city, so we cannot promise a set number of events.
